Hannah … I had no idea … I haven’t seen you for so long . A very courageous thing to write . I’m kind of stunned .. and so wanting to see you and give you a big cuddle.

Thank you for sharing such a personal thing. Your honesty and vulnerability is empowering, even for those of us who don't have the same story to tell as you do. X

Very well written. May I ask as a parent, is there any point at which you believe someone could have seen you falling down said hole, and you would have accepted a lifeline of your own accord? Xx

I'm so proud of you. The pandemic has been an especially difficult time for addicts. I had a very dear ex boyfriend and a friend who were both addicts (both were behavioural addictions) and who very sadly both passed away last year. So for you to be able to come out of this pandemic, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes and write this piece is truly commendable. You should be so proud and please dont feel shame. I think that must be what all addicts have in common. It's all in your head. You have NOTHING to be ashamed about. Best of luck moving forwards. Tomorrow is always a new day. X
